Sports Seminar
Sports Seminar
October 29 to November 2, 2022 – Registered in UofN, SFT-181
Sport has the incredible ability to overcome barriers and communicate its truths in a particular way. It’s the year of the World Cup and have you ever stopped to think about the impact of that? Through sport we can see people from all over the world coming together, competing. It seems that the differences are not “that important”. This is undoubtedly the universal language of sports.
And have you ever stopped to think about how sport can be used as a great communication tool for transmitting cultures and values?
We as a church must seek to understand this language for the best way to influence through sports.
This seminar goes far beyond technical training, we want to challenge the student to develop an integral character and a firm social conscience with a focus on God and a deep understanding of how their individual gifts and talents can and should influence the world.
The apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 9:24, uses the figure of the runner in a stadium to apply Kingdom values and be intentional in his proposal for a Christian life.
Our objective with this seminar is to gather, awaken and train people. Generating new influencers and making them understand sport as a tool for evangelization and transformation of the individual. Sport allows us to participate in groups that we can relate to, creating healthy relationships and where we can truly get to know. In sports we can break barriers, prejudices, bringing people together and with that we can share the love of Christ.
Sport improves people’s physical condition, helps them to work as a team, learn to be competitive in order to win and allying this to the church will make them grow in Christ with the principles of the Bible and in the way that every child of God should. be, persevering and faithful to God.
Come be part of this time with us!
This course makes part of the College of Sports and Fitness of the University of the Nations.
Sport and fitness have redemptive and innate benefits for individuals and communities. In addition, fitness and wellness allows individuals to be fit in their body as well as their mind and spirit, thus being equipped to literally live and walk out the calling on their life from God. The emerging College of Sports and Fitness is called to disciple the next generation of sports leaders to impact this sphere with a Biblical and transformational worldview.
