Did you know that more than 67.6 million people do not have any portion of the Bible translated into their language?
The Biblical Hebrew Literacy Program (BHLP) course is designed to train those who desire to serve the global oral Bible translation movement.

BHLP is a powerful tool in the process of acquiring the Biblical language in a fun and engaging way. With an innovative approach of “understand first, read and write later” and a natural learning method, the course represents a significant step to help the student in the early stages of this journey.
The course is part of the Faculty of Applied Linguistics and Languages at the University of the Nations.
By the End of the Course, You Will Be Able To:
- Understand hundreds of words in the Biblical language.
- Hear, read, and write short texts.
- Ask and answer basic questions and establish simple dialogues.
What You Will Learn:
- Complete Hebrew alphabet.
- Accurate pronunciation of the alphabet through the Uniskript methodology.
- Use of vowels.
- Introduction to reading and writing using 22 key words.
- Transcription faithful to the phonology and orthographic intuition of Portuguese speakers.
- Vocabulary of 300 words.
- Introduction to the use of articles, nouns, and adjectives in Biblical vocabulary.
- Introduction to the verbal system — present tense.
- How to construct simple sentences.
- How to establish simple dialogues.
- Daily practice of comprehension and conversation through pedagogical workshops.
