Do you dream of serving people in other cultures and sharing God’s love? Do you want to prepare yourself better and learn how to adapt to other cultures and learn new languages? Do you want to know how to share God’s love, how to disciple, and how to raise local leaders? How can relationships in multicultural teams grow? Do you want to learn how to have ministry partners in a backup team for your cross-cultural life? What is it like to have a healthy life in the mission field?
The School of Frontier Missions (SFM), is an undergraduate program of the University of the Nations (UofN). It was created to be a school where you can learn the skills necessary to establish yourself among the people and minister effectively to unreached people groups. This school was specially designed to prepare missionaries who will make disciples among the least reached people groups, among the people groups that have not yet had the opportunity to hear the Gospel.
With strategies that include short- and long-term initiatives, encouraging community-oriented planting among local people, the establishment of mission structures and training institutions, and the creation of an effective support network through partnerships among mission agencies, local churches, and professionals in all spheres of society.
All of this aims to awaken in students and the churches they represent, the desire and importance of participating in serving and blessing all the families of the earth.
To this end, we have topics such as:
- Biblical Perspectives on Missions – Showing through the Bible the heart of God to reach all nations
- Worldview: Integrated Transformation from the Local Church – Showing that ideas have consequences. Examining how God established laws that govern creation
- Techniques and Strategies for Language Learning – Giving an understanding of language learning programs
- Principles of Leadership, Training, and Team Dynamics – Learning to work as a team, valuing Behavioral Differences, understanding each other, and learning to be versatile at work.
- And many other classes to equip you for your calling!
This school includes an internship phase, lasting 2 years, which is highly recommended to put everything you’ve learned into practice and to thrive in the mission field.
You may join an already established and fruitful team. Could you dedicate at least two years to living among the Least Reached Peoples, so that many may have their lives eternally changed by coming to know Jesus through you? (And not only will they be transformed, but also will those who come to believe through these disciples you raise up there).
Through your life, God can begin a multiplication of disciples—a Movement of Disciple Makers!
At SFM, you will learn how to thrive in the mission field and how to bear fruit that generates more fruit, which in turn produces even more fruit.
The harvest is ready. Jesus said to pray to the Lord of the harvest to send more workers into His harvest field. Many have been praying and asking.
