DTS Guinea Bissau – “Until Everyone Hears”
DTS Guinea Bissau – “Until Everyone Hears”
Start: October 5, 2023
According to data from the AMTB (Association of Brazilian Transcultural Missions) there are 4,400 unreached peoples in the world, that is, ethnic groups where the Christian community is small and does not have conditions to make disciples of Jesus without external help. And yet 3,100 unengaged peoples, those who are completely without access to the gospel: without Christians, churches, missionaries or Bible in the mother tongue.
Pay attention to this sentence: All peoples are inserted in God’s history!
With over 7,000 languages in the world, approximately 45% have no spelling (a written form) and of that number, 3,384 are languages that have portions or the entire Bible translated.
Understanding that most of this group are peoples of oral tradition and that God’s story needs to be presented to these groups in a way that they understand and can engage, we are committed to God’s call to eradicate Bible poverty in the world .
The purpose of this DTS is to bring people together and challenge them to understand the heart of the gospel for all nations. In the first semester, we sent teams to distant places and we heard the clamor of those places, and now our invitation to you is to participate in Romans 10:14:
“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear if there is no one to preach?”
